From the first rehearsal February 16, 1955 in the Butler High School band room, the Huntsville Symphony Orchestra has always been guided by its mission to bring extraordinary musical and educational opportunities to the people of Huntsville-Madison and greater Tennessee Valley area.

MEET THE CONDUCTOR
Gregory Vajda, the sixth Music Director & Conductor of the HSO, is an internationally celebrated conductor and composer. He’s renowned both for his thoughtful interpretations of the classics and for his imaginative programming across a variety of genres and eras of music, including the championing of new works.
